Principle:
All people are born with the same inherent Rights and Responsibilities |
|
Definition |
Rights are what
all people are given at birth (freedom, choices, opportunities) or earn by
working hard.
A responsibility
is a duty, especially the duty to make good choices.
Rights are
inseparable from responsibilities, and can be lost when we make bad choices
or violate the rights of others. |
|
Implications for student |
I will recognize
that all people have basic rights and should have the freedom to exercise
those rights. I will preserve and protect those rights for myself and
others. I will also accept the responsibilities connected with those
rights and the consequences of my choices. |
